Top 5 tips on using Feng Shui for better Relationships

Top 5 tips on using Feng Shui for better Relationships

Below are 5 of the best tips I can give you to help strengthen and grow Relationships without a consultation from a Feng Shui Expert who will analyse your charts and perform a full consultation. I hope you all enjoy these tips.

  1. You can strengthen or attract romance by placing a crystal sphere in your bedroom window. These beautiful lead crystals not only attract good Ch’i they look magnificent when exposed to light.

Hanging Crystal Sphere

  1. Throw away any old photos or memorabilia of ex-partners. They attract bad Ch’i and are bad for new and existing relationships.
  1. Take a good look at your bedroom. Is it cluttered? What about the colours of your walls, bed sheets. Have a good clear out; throw away all your old clothes and junk that you never use (boxes, trainers, broken ornaments etc). Brighten up your walls and bed sheets. It is hard for us to advise which colours are best as it depends on location; however, normally a good pink/red pastel colour is good. If you would like to know exactly what colours you should have in each room of your home, take a look at our software which can calculate all this for you Your bedroom is the place where you spend most of your life; treat it as the most important room in the house.
  1. Use candles to increase fire energy associated with passion; make sure you blow them out before you go to sleep. If you use candle stick holders make sure you use a pair, as you will strengthen relationships by using pairs in your bedroom, i.e. paintings, ornaments, sculptures etc. Please speak with a Feng Shui Consultant before using candles as this can cause problems if placed in the wrong area or you can also check this by using our Feng Shui Software
  1. Place a Dragon headed tortoise in the south-east corner of your bedroom and place a piece of red ribbon in his mouth, this will enhance and strengthen relationships. Please click on the link for instructions on placement. Dragon headed tortoise

Picking a wedding date

A wedding is a massive event and also a huge milestone in life and with all big events, it should be done as large and grand as you can afford to do. This day is very similar to Chinese New Year as you would spend the whole day as you mean to go on. There are certain should’s = and shouldn’ts of your wedding.

1) When you can do so, try and choose a fortunate day for you and your partner for the date of your wedding to ensure that your wedding day is an auspicious date to hold your wedding on. We have a daily Tong Shu Almanac on our Facebook page giving advice for wedding days and other important and everyday tasks for the day ahead. We also have a monthly Almanac which can be viewed by clicking this link but it may be worth looking at the Tong Shu software as weddings tend to be planned up to years ahead.

Below is an example of our daily Almanac on our Facebook page.

Almanac for May 2003

May 2003 Almanac

Use the Almanac below daily to help you in selecting the most auspicious days and times for activities and events such as weddings, renovations, travelling, opening a business and even a good day for mending your tools.

A Chinese almanac (Chinese calendar) or “Tung Sing” is based on the lunar cycle, providing a guideline that either promotes or advises against certain tasks being undertaken on certain days depending on the combination of the Heavenly Stem and the Earthly Branch. Virtually every home in Asia will have one of these and refer to it daily, it tells you when to do and not to do certain jobs or events. Sallie will be translating the almanac each month so check back monthly for updates.

The ten Heavenly Stems are the five elements of water, wood, fire, earth and metal. The Twelve Earthly Branches are the twelve animals of Chinese astrology: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The stem and branches express each other in a 60-year cycle in terms of the five elements in their yin and yang states.

In former times, once the many characteristics of a building site had been considered, auspicious dates had to be chosen carefully for the actual building tasks in order to ensure harmony.

The almanac is published annually and mainly consists of:

  • An update on the annual energies of the Nine Palaces of a property and the three annual afflictions according to the Xuan Kong system of Feng Shui.
  • A “Huang Li” or imperial calendar with recommended days to proceed with or avoid certain tasks or projects during the year. There is a section dedicated to recommended days for “spring cleaning” before Chinese New Year.

Favourable or unfavourable days according to an individual Year”s Pillar of the Four Pillars “Ba Zi”.

An example would be if you were planning to open a new business this month May 2003 you would choose either 3-12-18 or 23rd of May. Or if you were travelling, you would pick either 9-17-21 or 27th of May. The Almanac is taken very seriously and used daily by all the staff of the Feng Shui Store.

Please feel free to print out and use daily, check back each month for updates or join our free newsletter

Let”s take it one step further. It can work to a person”s advantage if the hour is also in harmony with the person”s year earthly branch. I must stress that this is only a general way of making the best of the situation with the limited information that is provided here. A more complete and precise analysis of a person”s best timing requires a much more in-depth interpretation of the individual”s “Bà Zi” (Four Pillars).

So let”s say, if you are born in the year of a Dog, and you want to start a new business, you would now be able to calculate that 3-12-18 or 23rd of May were good days to start a new business, you may want the door opening ceremony conducted or sign contract on the hours that are compatible to you and they are the hours of Rabbit (5am – 7am), Horse (11am – 1pm) and Tiger (3am – 5am). Now, even if it is not a good day, at least try to use the good hours for important things. Below is a table that offers the corresponding compatibility of the twelve earthly branches

How do you start to describe the recent grotesque appalling events in the USA? No words can make me feel any better; so what words can make all those family’s and friends that have been left behind, most still waiting to be told some news of their loved ones, We are just so overwhelmed with grief and disbelief, how do you start a letter with words to show your sorrow, heartache, rage and revulsion.

My family was blessed not to be directly affected by these events with no loss of friends or family, this still does not protect us from the shock. I just hope and pray that you have also had the same blessing. A large proportion of our newsletter readers are from the USA and we have made many friends over there and the ones that are in New York, D.C. and Pennsylvania we have spoken to and we know are OK, apart from one that we are still waiting to hear from. As you know though, it wasn’t just American lives lost as you can see from the above picture, there were many from the UK and other nationalities. It is not just about the innocent people who lost their precious lives; it is harder now for the bereaved or injured that have been left behind, the grieving will last a long time, because history has been made, there will be many sad reminders for them.

May those who passed away, rest in peace, and our thoughts and prayers are now with those that have been directly affected, and for all of us that have been stunned and distraught, it really has affected the world all over, yet at the same time shown compassion and unity that warms the heart.

With deepest sympathy

The support offered from our newsletter readers has been incredible; we would like to thank everyone for all their e-mails and offers of support to some of the above organisations. In particular a very good friend of ours Fiona of Fat promotions for her kind offer to help update our main site with the recent disaster in USA, whilst our web designer has been on holiday. You must visit her site, you can download the most amazing free screen-saver I have ever seen, and her portfolio of work is very impressive. Regrettably we could not provide Fiona the access codes (we thought we had them, but it was the one to this site) to update the site, so we could not take advantage of her kind free unconditional offer.

Thanks again Fiona

water features

Indoor Water Features

Water is used to activate or slow down Ch’i in a room, being highly beneficial for health, wealth and relationships. These beautiful fountains copy the natural flow of water in a harmonious way creating the energy of Ch’i. Placing a tabletop fountain in your home or office is the easiest way to add Ch’i into you life and will significantly enhance the desires you are working for. They can have an amazing effect on your wealth, romance and general well-being. To enhance your wealth and prosperity, position your indoor water feature in the southeast element of your home or office. For career luck, place in the north.

Fountains also add the relaxing sound of a babbling brook to your environment and are recommended for homes that have central heating, as they increase the humidity level which in turn decreases dust, pollutants and static electricity. Flowing or moving water also increases negative ions in the air. Excessive amounts of positive ions (which are created by pollution and other factors) can result in sickness and depression. Water Fountains can help by balancing the negative and positive ions in the air. These high quality fountains all have the same effect and your choice of fountain should be one that appeals to you personally. Every home and office should have one.

Wealth & luck = south-east. Good marriage = south-west. Career = north. Helpful friends = west. Good health and family relationship = east. Study & education = north-east
